Felicitation on Global Tiger Day 2023

29 July 2023

From provision of relief and alternate livelihood opportunities in the aftermath of Yaas and Amphan cyclones to mitigating plastic pollution and promoting mangrove health, HEAL has worked tirelessly to bring about a difference in the lives of Sundarban’s people, and its mangrove forests.

In recognition of our work in the Sundarbans, HEAL was felicitated by the West Bengal Forest Department at Sajnekhali in Sundarban Tiger Reserve on the occasion of Global Tiger Day, 29 July 2023.

We are grateful to the Forest Department for acknowledging and appreciating our endeavours, which were made possible due to the unwavering support from all our members, volunteers, and well-wishers.

Moving forward, Team HEAL remains committed to safeguarding the invaluable Sundarbans and building resilience in its ecological and human communities.
