HEAL invited to participate in the opening panel of ICUC 2025

14 September 2025

How do we create a world where humans and animals don’t just coexist, but thrive? This was the powerful question at the heart of the 2nd India Clean-Up Confluence (ICUC) 2025, and HEAL was proud to be part of the solution.

Our Co-Founder, Meghna Banerjee, was invited to join the opening panel “Shared Earth: A Cleaner Coexistence with the Animal Kingdom”. She highlighted how improper waste disposal is intensifying human-wildlife conflict in the landscapes where we work and how these issues can be tackled with legal action.

True to ICUC 2025’s theme ‘From Ripples to Waves,’ she also shared how small but significant steps taken by HEAL are together creating tangible change on the ground. Case in point: HEAL’s decade-long fight against the brutal ritualistic hunting of wildlife, a practice we are committed to ending.

It was an honor to share the stage with so many incredible changemakers and amplify the message that collective action can create a cleaner, more sustainable future for all.

A huge thanks to Carter Clean Up, Greenmyna Sustainability Consultants, and Upadhyaya Foundation for bringing together so many dedicated changemakers and for celebrating the citizen-led actions that are truly making a difference.
